Useful Informations for Youth Camp 2018

Asslamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Thank you very much for registering your child to the BMS Youth Camp Dec 2018.

Please download, complete this parent consent form and bring submit it before the camp start

Alhamdullilah, as we are fast approaching the dates for the camp here are some updates:

For Girls:Drop-off/Registraton:

Date: 21/12/2011

Arrival Time: 4 – 6 PM

Girls collection: 24/12/2017

Collection Time (Awarding ceremony):  1 – 2 PM

 

For Boys:Drop-off/Registration:

Date: 24/12/2018

Arrival Time: 5 – 6 PM

Boys collection: 27/12/2018

Collection Time: 4 – 5 PM

 

The following is a list of items which we expect your child to bring with him/her;

  • Any medication (i.e. inhaler)
  • Sleeping bag/quilt
  • Bed spread
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Towels
  • Slippers
  • Trainers (NO STUDS)
  • Winter Clothes (Water Proof Jacket / Coat, Thermal wears)
  • Clothes for 3 or 2 days
  • Sleeping clothes
  • Sportswear/fitness clothes
  • QURAN (this is mandatory)
  • Note pad and pen

Rules and Regulations

Please remind your child that we expect them to observe our core principles when it comes to behaviour. At the BMS Youth Camp we have 5 core principles;

1) Be Respectful

  • To yourself
  • To adults
  • To staff
  • To fellow campers
  • And most importantly to our Deen

So, this means:

NO SWEARING

NO FIGHTING

NO TALKING BACK

THE KEY MESSAGE HERE – TREAT OTHERS IN THE SAME WAY YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED

 

2) Be Honest

Always speak the truth and be honest to become successful in this world and the next.

 

3) Be Responsible

For your own safety

For others when you work as part of a

Apologise for any mistakes you make

Think of others before you act

 

4) Be Grateful

Always be thankful to Allah (SWT)

Be mindful of what you have

 

5) Be Kind

Most importantly be kind and gentle towards each other

Love for your brother/sister what you would love for yourself.

 

Mobile Phones

We would very much like to keep this camp a mobile-free-zone so we highly recommend that you do not send a mobile phone with your child. However, if for some reason, you feel like a mobile is necessary for your child to have then please avoid giving them a smart phone. Instead, we would appreciate it if you gave them a normal phone.

BMS Youth is not responsible for any loss or damage and your child is entirely responsible for any electronics they bring.

 

Disciplinary Procedure

WE HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE FOR:

  • BULLYING
  • ANY FORM OF ABUSE
  • VIOLENCE
  • VANDALISM

 

 

We are confident that the children attending the youth camp will be respectful to the rules and regulations. Please remind your children to be on their best behaviour to ensure enjoyment of camp for all.
